Tower 26. Patrolled every day all year round. Tower 25 Hilda Street. Patrolled every day for months September through April. Patrol hours, 8.00am - 5.00pm except during winter months where patrolled 8.30am - 3.30pm. Nice little beach for the visitor. A one-way street runs south to north along the beachfront.

Local Surf Life Saving Club - Mermaid Beach SLSC

FEATURES:Enjoy the sheltered picnic areas and watch the children play in the playground at Ken Mansbridge Park. A bike way exists along the side of the road for the keen cyclist.
SURFING:Mermaid Beach is an open beach working on the smallest amount of swell. Find a good bank and enjoy the lefts and rights.
FISHING:Fish on the beach during the day or night for dart and bream. Better results during the winter months when the crowds are less and the fish are plentiful.
WALKING:Take a peaceful walk along Mermaid beach to the north or south.
